The Old Stone Fort Archaeological Park is located in Manchester TN and is bordered by both the Little Duck river as well as the Big Duck river. It is believed that this area of approximately 50 acres was once an American Indian ceremonial site. Carbon 14 dating samples range from 30AD, 230AD and 430AD in various places.
I walked the north bank of the Big Duck photographing what caught my eye to give the viewer a flavor of this small park. I was hoping to get some of the fall colors this year but mother nature was very stingy with the fall show. I suspect this was due mainly to a few months of drought preceding the fall show forcing the leaves to dry up and fall off..
